Bomb$hell Finds: Soles 4 Souls

Soles 4 Souls is a non profit organization started by Wayne Elsey to donate shoes to those in need. The organization started in late 2004, after the notorious series of tsunamis that destroyed Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, and several countries near by. Elsey, with an experience in the footwear industry gathered up his peers and friends to start collecting shoes to send over to the victims. Soles 4 Souls rounded up over 250,000 pairs and sent them out with their own money. Unfortunatley, Hurricane Katrina hits and Elsey decides to gather up his team and start an organiztion that is here to stay. They got over three qaurters of a million pairs of shoes for the victims of Katrina and established Soles4Souls Inc. based in Alabama. Since then, the team has expanded from helping victims to those living in extreme poverty and also giving jobs to parolees. There are several ways that we can help; retailers and manufacturers can donate returned shoes or samples, individuals can donate new or lightly used shoes, or cash donations. Currently, Soles 4 Souls are donating a pair of shoes every 28 seconds, made possible through everyone's effort and donations. Visit soles4souls.org to check their daily updates and more information on how you can help. I will be sending out a pair of nike samples on behalf of Bomb$hell =) Here is the website again, soles4souls.org
