DAMN! I think KRS is only capable of speaking truth. He makes some good points. I mean VH1 isn't one to exactly be true to Hip Hop, they're a business trying to make money. There are definitely different aspects of Hip-Hop that have yet to be touched and honored. Think about when they talk about Hip-Hop, they speak of the 4 Elements. But VH1 has yet to honor the other 3.

About Kanye and 50, it's true that it is sad that we measure artistic talent by sales, because like I said too many people aren't knowledgeable enough to know good music when they hear it. But on another note, they were both still good albums. I don't doubt that 50 has talent, but for me my preference is Kanye, I think he is innovative and he discusses topics that are both fun and are relevant to his experiences. The relevancy not so much anymore, but I think Everything I Am, shows growth on his part, and less need to be too outspoken, or too in the limelight. 50 speaks through his experience. Definitely exaggerations, but he has been through some shit and has the right to talk about the street the way he does. I wouldn't hate on the way they marketed though, they did what KRS wanted, took something the way it was made and spun it to do something different. Actually, they are doing nothing more than what Tupac was trying to do writing about Biggie. Play to the love of feuds in the eyes of the media.

As far as technology and ringtone rappers go. I think once again, KRS speaks truth. Technology has its ups and downs. It allows people who aren't true to the essence of hip hop to infiltrate the game. For example, ringtone rappers. I don't doubt they are rappers, but please please please do not place them in the same genre as real hip hop artists. That's all I have to say on that subject

Lets start by giving props to KRS and how he isnt afraid to speak his mind on national television. He puts up very good ideas and i can agree on them. About the battle between 50 and kanye, it is a sad truth that people measure someones talent on popularity and record sales. But in my opinion kanye and 50 are two differnt people with two differnt albumbs. I personally like kanye's style more, it fits my preference. Yet 50 is still good and there are people that perfer 50 more because he fits their preference. But, lets not forget why we listen to music. Cause we like it.

In my opinion, listen to what you like. You can't go wrong there.

i for one, believe that 50 is fuckin bullshit. He wouldn't be "financially stable" without the help of dr. dre, no doubt. I personally think that he's garbage, a waste of $15, and waste of space in anyones harddrive. He just reminds me of another MC Gusto. If you dont know what im talkin bout, watch CB4. if i could actually goto every radio station n kill every dj that plays his music, id do it. self explanatory from nas' hip hop is dead.

Speaking of Ringtone rappers. I made a KRS-ONE ringtone of "step into a world". If anyone wants it, HOLLA! You gotta be able to upload it to your phone.
