Hit up that Murakami ish @ The MOCA

Hit up that Murakami Exhibit at the MOCA yesterday and it was definitely worth the $10. I feel inspired. His work was so clean and yet so crazy at the same time. The sculptures he did were pretty nuts too. Also got to see Kanye's Good Morning video on a 100 inch screen which was dope. Fuckin Ari yelled out "Good Morning!" right before it started haha. I accidentally hit the shutter on my camera a few times.. oh well.!

Takashi Murakami @ MOCA @ The Geffen Contemporary

Japan's answer to Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons. A walking, talking creation of Pop culture, he's an artist entrepreneur who ignores yesterday's boundaries between high and low art, production and consumption. This mega-exhibition will offer 90 paintings, sculptures, installations and films, not to mention a fully functioning shop stocked with handbags and accessories designed by the artist for Louis Vuitton

He's the dude that did Kanye's Graduation Album Cover. Anyway I think he's a dope artist and I'm definitely going to try and check this out if I have time. It's only $8 @ The Geffen Contemporary in Los Angeles and runs through February 11th
