USB Vinyl Player Concept

I saw this and at first was amazed at the concept of a USB Vinyl player. But upon second look. I thought, "There is really no use for this" The technology is already out there to transfer Vinyl to MP3. The only good use for this is portability. But what's the use of making a portable vinyl player? I mean, come on, yeah I don't have to carry around turns and speakers, but I'll still have to carry around all those vinyls! Nevertheless, nice idea, but I think it fell a little short.
