For the single, Donwill teams up with west coast emcees Mykestro and Bad Lucc, whose eloquent lines and personal anecdotes combine with a funk drumbeat and bass line to create an infectious track which gives off an old school vibe. Although the song's title initially sounds of misogyny, Donwill explains, "The song is about being more critical of chasing skirts," says Donwill. "It's not a song degrading women, but more so questioning motives." This message is driven home as Donwill raps about life having a more meaningful purpose than cash, clothes, cars, and girls.

RIP Jun Seba aka Nujabes
News broke today that Japanese producer Jun Seba aka Nujabes passed away in a car accident in late February. This is a great loss for the world of hip hop. I think he was way underrated. I loved his music. He was the first one to introduce me to jazzy hip hop. He will be missed. RIP Jun Seba aka Nujabes your music will live on forever.

Fashion: Brother Sharp
Cheng Guorong is currently a fashion icon in China. If his clothes were cleaner, and if he had a choice, I could see how this homeless man nicknamed "Brother Sharp" could be a fashion icon. But truth be told. For me, I think what makes him stylish has more to do with his confidence than it has to do with his actual clothes

When I first started on this blog, I wanted to try and bring something back to the community. The place where I grew up, and the place I have so much love for. I guess I figured, if I can't do something for the place where I'm from and the place I know the best, how could I really help any where else. An endeavor I've admittedly fallen off or. But that's one thing I've always admired about Certified, they are exactly what they claim. Fresh. Not only supplying my life with great music and events, but also opening my eyes to the various opportunities to give back in any way I can.
They recently posted this video made by Jeremy "Passion" Manongo. A local artist, helping to give back to those in Tanzania. Check out the video for more.
