Parker Dunks Again
Unfortunately Tony Parker still cant dunk, but he goes home to Eva Longoria to make up for it. On the other hand, another Parker has been making news in the basketball world and has ESPN broadcasters talking. Yesterday, Los Angeles Sparks rookie Candace Parker dunked for the second consecutive game and accomplished a double double with 22 points and 11 rebounds in a win versus the Seattle Strom. Parker is only the second woman to dunk in the WNBA next to Lisa Leslie and was the first woman to dunk in a women’s NCAA tournament. Being a rookie, Parker is already being looked at as one of the premier woman athletes but only has room for improvement. Besides from having the skills to break ankles, Parker also has the looks to break hearts. We hope to see her succeed and bring more enthusiasm to the WNBA.

Bomb$hell Beauty of the Month
With the end of the NBA finals, the Stanley Cup playoffs and non-stop baseball highlights on Sports Center, summer 2008 has officially begun. The absence of entertaining sports gives us more time to hit up BBQ’s, beerbongs, and beaches. Having a healthy body to show off at the beach doesn’t score high on most of our priority lists, but finding women with healthy bodies does. I can assure you Miss June Bomb$hell Beauty of the Month is looking real healthy and deserves some acknowledgment. Charlotte McKenna earns the title of Miss June Bomb$hell Beauty of the month. In 2006, Miss McKenna was a high street honey and in 2007 a calendar girl for FHM magazine. She again posed for FHM as a kama sutra model giving all men a better chance at being better in the sack. Charlotte McKenna has to be one my favorite Bom$hell Beautys thus far and at the age of 21 she has many years ahead of her to stay looking hella healthy. Food For Thought: Bombshell Chicken
As summer arrives, BBQs, swimming, camping trips, etc, come by. They are good times with good people. But even better, they all come with good food. Now at Jess's recent bbq at Jon's house I made a chicken marinade that seemed to be popular. Well if you are having an upcoming event, make this chicken. We will call it, Bombshell Chicken. Something different than just soy sauce or bbq sauce with Tabasco. And if they ask where'd you get the recipe, tell them Bombshell yo.
What you need list.
- Chicken ~ Drumsticks and thighs seem to be the best for bbqs. Easy to eat and big enough.
- Cilantro - Half a bunch.
- Green Onion - Half a bunch. < "Bunch" is the amount they sell at the store.
- Oregano - Half a bunch.
- Garlic - 2 Cloves
- Ginger - About the same amount as garlic.
- Habanero Pepper - 1 - 2 each. 3 if you're a man.
- Orange Juice - 1/4 cup (Also can use the peel of an orange for more flavor.)
- Soy Sauce - 1/4 cup
- Grapeseed/Vegetable oil - 1/4 cup
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 1/8 Cup
- Lime Juice - 1/8 Cup
- Salt and Pepper to taste.
What to do.
Blend everything together in a blender or magic bullet(except for the chicken). Taste and adjust with seasoning. Cover chicken. Be sure not to use bare hands mixing with chicken (habanero will burn your hands). Could be used as a marinade or sauce. If sauce add more orange juice to make it milder.
Grill and enjoy.

Sylvia Ji's paintings definitely represent fine art in my eyes. Her style is contemporary meet traditional academia and there is just something about women painters that attracts me, especially when they are paintings of beautiful mysterious women.
Stop Racism
As most of you know, I had my basketball hoop taken away from me a couple of weeks ago. In desperation I was searching for basketball hoops that appeared not in use. On Cataldi, I came across a residence that had a hoop that didn’t seem to be in utilized. I decided to knock on the door to ask my neighbors if could possibly put their hoop to good use. Upon ringing the doorbell, I was browsing around and noticed an American flag, and Dallas Cowboys Harley Davidson, Dale Earnhardt stickers. After seeing these items, I was under the impression I was at a “white house” and I was beginning to think I was going to come home empty handed. The woman behind the door asked who was there and I responded “your neighbor from down the street.” After our short conversation was over, I knocked on the door two more times and the door never opened. I started to leave the house and noticed a confederate draped on a rear view mirror on one of their cars and I put the pieces together. American and confederate flags, Dale Earnhardt, Harley Davidson and Dallas Cowboys (Americans football team) stickers are possible items of “red neck”, racist, ignorant, motherfuckers. I was pissed off because the woman behind the door didn’t care what I had to say because she noticed by looking through the peephole in her door; I was a person of color. Living in the Bay Area, I didn’t think these types of people existed in our area and made me realize that racism still is a major issue in this country and is alive.
