San Jose Museum of Art exhibition: Robots
San Jose Museum of Art is currently holding a exhibition called Robots: Evolution of a Cultural Icon. It sounds pretty interesting to me considering that most of us grew up watching cartoons with robots and are still in the technology age. The exhibition examines the development of robot iconography in fine art over the past 50 years, there are also pieces from contemporary street artist like Jeff Soto and Mars-1. The show has been on since since April 08 and will continue until October 19th 2008, spend a nice day in SJ and go check it out when you have the time. (images and info from SJ museum of art)

Angelique Houtkamp
She is a Dutch tattoo artist and painter that bases her work off of old-school traditional tattoos. I personally think they're pretty dope, they have a really clean look and nothing beats the fact that they're girls with tattoos. I found these pictures online, here they are;

Reverse Graffiti
This is pretty nuts. Basically this guy (Paul "Moose" Curtis) went up to this little tunnel and cleaned up the grime and dirt on the fence/wall and almost got in trouble for it. But when the police came to arrest him, they couldn't find anything to charge him with. GENIUS!

Movie "The Wackness"
"It's the summer of 1994, and the streets of New York are pulsing with hip-hop and wafting with the sweet aroma of marijuana--but change is in the air. The newly-inaugurated mayor, Rudy Giuliani, is beginning to implement his anti-fun initiatives against "crimes" like noisy portable radios, graffiti and public drunkenness. Set against this backdrop, Luke Shapiro (Josh Peck) spends his last summer before college selling dope throughout New York City, trading it with his shrink (Ben Kingsley) for therapy, while crushing on his step-daughter (Olivia Thirlby). Famke Janssen, Mary Kate Olsen,and Method Man round out the cast in this edgy, bittersweet, and funny coming of age story."
