Nintendo DS and Korg

Check out this video that I found; it shows a new game that is coming out on the nintendo DS in partnership with Korg in Japan only for now. Well actually, calling it a game may not be entirely accurate, it's more like an application. From the looks of things, the app is very complicated, which is a good thing. The dude in the video is applying effects at various portions of his song, which stinks by the way haha. I hope they do it right and put some natural sounding drum kits inside it, since users will most likely not be able to import sounds. At any rate, I don't expect this to be something with which you could make a commercial song. However, it's one of those nice to have things, especially if you are bored, or you have music constantly on your mind-- even at work. So, hopefully this comes out here too. That is all, peace!

Taste Closes: Two Sides of the Story

Taste Ultra Lounge, in our very own city will be closing its doors on April 26th. I admit, I've gone a few times, and it's been a little here and there. Nothing too special but nothing horrible either. I got the chance to go there yesterday and talk to a few people that were waiting to get in line, and I found out a few things that I hadn't previously been aware of that I found a bit disturbing.

I'm not one to really believe the first thing I hear but there seemed to be a theme throughout the night.

"Why are they even closing anyway?"
"Because San Jose hates Latinos and Asians"

I checked out the owner's blog and he discussed how leasing contracts among other things have been causing him problems and how the city has been giving him a hard time.

If his allegations are true, this is something that we definitely need to keep an eye out for here in San Jose. But at the same time, all the stupid ass brawls and fights need to come to an end because really, we're not helping ourselves, our point or anyone by needlessly bickering. If you think about what is going on the city might have legitimate reasons for closing down taste. But at the same time, the owners have tried everything in their power to prevent this from happening. I admit the theme of the night may be correct. And it isn't something that should be tolerated. San Jose may dislike Asians and Latinos, but ask yourselves, "why?"

Taste we'll miss you on those warm Thursday nights.

Our San Jose Sharks were victorious last night in a crucial game 7 eliminating the Flames 3-5, with the help of Jeremy Roenicks' two goals and two assists. This friday the Sharks will start their new series against the Dallas Stars at 7p.

Warriors: Playoff hopes down, Draft day up.

After finding out tonight's loss to the Phoenix Suns, I was pissed off. I found out Baron Davis, who didn't play the second half played shitty. Fuckin' 2-13? Playoff chances are at stake, and this killed a dope season. Next thing I'll be looking forward to seeing is the draft day and see how the Warriors will choose their next 1st pick. Since Baron's contract is about to be over, and is a free agent, I say we fuckin trade baron on draft day and cop fuckin Derrick Rose. Although Rose couldn't win the NCAA championship, he still had good stats throughout his freshman yr. at Memphis.

We Still Have the Sharks

After losing a crucial game to Denver on thursday, the Golden State Warriors chances of getting in the playoffs are getting slim. Fortunately, we still have a team to root for already in the playoffs. Our San Jose sharks face off this Sunday against the Calgary Flames with the series tied at 1-1.

Oh how I beloved hypebeast brand The Hundreds has gotten so popular in the recent months. With the new store opening in SF, the buzz on TH is at an all-time high. I found out some suprising news today during my daily hypebeast blog checks, yea I'm that gay. There is an article in CNN money about how TH are on the virge of being bought out by Louis Vuitton. Crazy, huh? I'm really not sure how to feel about this yet. Is it that same ol' story of our favorite brand selling out or is it a good brand doing well for themselves.
